چکیده

Micro-powder injection molding (μPIM) is a modification of powder (PIM) process and globally recognized manufacturing route that can be used largely to produce sophisticated micro-sized components using wide range metals ceramics. The demand μPIM currently increasing in various applications telecommunication, electronics, aerospace, biomedical, automotive industries. In this research work, sintering at three different temperatures between 1250 °C 1350 heating rate 10 °C/min with dwelling period 3 h on micro-injection molded debound (solvent thermal) stainless steel 17-4PH (SS 17-4PH) was carried out. After the operation, defect-free SS micro-specimens were achieved. relative density, which referred as an important physical property micro-parts, increased substantially from 95.3% 97.5% when temperature enhanced °C. maximum shrinkage 12.9% observed specimens completion process, findings revealed micro-parts produced successfully grounds employing feedstock loading 69 vol.%.

Microstructural Study of 17-4PH Stainless Steel after Plasma-Transferred Arc Welding

The improvement of the surface qualities and surface hardening of precipitation hardened martensitic stainless steel 17-4PH was achieved by the plasma-transferred arc welding (PTAW) process deposited with Co-based alloy. The microstructure of the heat affected zone (HAZ) and base metal were characterized by optical microscope (OM), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron mi...

Comparison of Mechanical, Metallurgical Properties of 17-4PH Stainless Steel between Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) and Traditional Manufacturing Methods

The purpose of this research was to analyze and compare the mechanical properties of parts made using both Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) and traditional manufacturing methods like casting or forging. Previous research in DMLS was conducted using various materials, but there has been very little done for 17-4PH stainless steel. All the samples used for testing were conducted using the EOSI...
